In 2020 police murders of Black people continue at steady rates. In March of 2020, many states and communities began shelter-in-place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the pandemic and shelter in place has highlighted many systemic issues around BIPOC communities including inequities in healthcare and employment, among others. Below are some resources and information on George Floyd (Minnesota), Breonna Taylor (Kentucky), and Tony McDade (Florida), three people murdered by police during the pandemic.
